PureOS and PureOSlight are GNU/Linux liveCDs , they allow the discovery and the use of a GNU/Linux operating system without modifying the contents of the hard-disk.

Intended for a large-public, these two liveCDs can also be used as a liveUSB or be installed on the hard-disk.

PureOS is a complete liveCD (700 Mo) with KDE, Iceweasel, Icedove, OpenOffice.org, Songbird, VLC, K3B…

PureOSlight is a small liveCD (400 Mo) with Xfce, Midori, Claws Mail, Abiword, Gnumeric, Exaile, MPlayer, Brasero...

They are based on Debian (testing branch), realized with the Linux-Live scripts and distributed under GPL license.

PureOS Gnome 1.0 beta 2 is available.

What's new:
- kernel 2.6.34 with Squashfs 3.4 + lzma
- Gnome 2.30, Iceweasel 3.5.11, Icedove 3.0.5 + Lightning 1.0b1
- Added Nautilus actions for module management
- Added Gufw, FreeMind, IcedTea, SimpleScan...

Choose the 'locale' (NTFS partitions mounting) and the keyboard from the boot menu or use the bootcodes 'keyb' (keyboard) and 'kbvar' (keyboard  variant).

Thanks to Tiheum for the Equinox GTK theme and the Faenza icon theme and to Hirakendu for the BlueCurls wallpaper.
